Patricia Fisher has a background of over 32 years of information security and technology involvement, including experience in both technical and management roles. She founded JANUS Associates in 1988 and has led the firm since its inception as Chief Executive Officer and President, building the firm from a startup to a well-regarded and top-rated cyber security, privacy, IV&V, and regulatory compliance consultancy.

Today, JANUS is known for its high-quality work and close relations with its clients. JANUS has served over 100 federal and state agencies, numerous commercial entities across a wide set of vertical markets, critical infrastructure operations, K-12 and higher education organizations, and not-for-profits.

During her career, Ms. Fisher has designed and managed applications and their architecture managed IBM’s accounting technology process, and directed large data centers for IBM. She also served as the Executive Assistant to IBM’s Chief Information Officer and managed the Information Security & Business Continuity Programs for IBM’s Latin American and Canadian sites. In 1988 she founded JANUS Associates, the first independent firm in the United States specializing in information risk management, Information Technology controls, and security and business continuity for government and industry.

Serving clients throughout the U.S. and internationally, she has a long history of providing strong leadership in the IT and security fields. She formerly served on the audit committee of the New York City Housing Authority as its IT and security expert; is on the Board of the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC), founded CTC’s Cyber Security Task Force, and served as a member of the International Information Security Standards guidance board. She is also a member of InfraGard and the Electronic Crimes Task Force (New York). Ms. Fisher has advised numerous State and Federal government officials.

Ms. Fisher holds both a B.A. (Maxwell School of Economics) and M.B.A. from Syracuse University and completed extensive post-masters work at Pennsylvania State University in Computer Science. She holds CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology) and CRISC (Certified in Risk of Information Security Controls) certifications from ISACA, as well as the MBCI certification from the Business Continuity Institute, and is a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Lyle A. Liberman is the Chief Operating Officer at JANUS Associates. He is responsible for managing the daily operations within JANUS including physical security and all corporate real estate. He has 20+ years of experience in senior management, in addition to sales and marketing within the physical and logical (Cyber) security sectors. Prior to joining JANUS in 2005, Mr. Liberman was involved with emerging technology including artificial intelligence software designed to monitor multiple live video feeds and generate alarms based on user-defined activities. This specialized software is currently in use nationwide at federal government facilities, airports, critical infrastructures, and corporate centers such as The Time Warner building in New York City.

Mr. Liberman has worked closely with the FBI’s New Haven Cyber Task Force on behalf of JANUS clients, is a member of ASIS International, the American Society for Industrial Security, a charter member of the CT Technology Council’s Cyber Security Task Force, a member of the NY/NJ Electronic Crimes Task Force, which is a partnership between the U.S. Secret Service, law enforcement, and the private sector, a member of NYC Infragard, a charter member of the Stamford Initiative North East Cyber Council, an organization whose mission is to achieve a cyber-secure future for businesses, individuals and country infrastructure, by working with government entities, businesses, educators, and a Team Rubicon Grey Shirt. In his spare time, he is an avid cook and coffee roaster, enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and dogs, and tends to his extensive perennial gardens.

Adam Fisher is the Chief Technology Officer of JANUS. Mr. Fisher joined the firm in 1999 and is responsible for the internal IT and telecommunications infrastructure, and all IT-related areas within the organization. In his early days at JANUS, he was responsible for the development of BioGate TM, an enterprise-level biometric security application that was approved for use by the US Department of Veterans Affairs. In addition to his Chief Technology Officer responsibilities, Mr. Fisher is also responsible for the JANUS Technical and Penetration Testing Team.

Prior to joining JANUS, Mr. Fisher was employed by Raytheon, working on the Patriot Missile System. He is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Mr. Fisher is an experienced application security tester and is a certified Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) as well as a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). In his spare time, he likes to hike, brew award-winning beer, and work on the restoration of his classic car.
